These terms and conditions contain important information, please read them carefully. These terms form the basis on which you can visit us and our website.
1. Interpretation
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings: “the Buyer” means the person, firm or company who purchases Goods from the Company; “the Company” means Sussex Country Interiors; “Contract” means the contract between the Company and the Buyer which shall be deemed to incorporate these Terms; “Goods” means any goods agreed in the Contract to be supplied by the Company to the Buyer; “Place of Delivery” means the place to which the Goods are to be delivered. In these Terms, reference to any statute or statutory provision shall be construed as a reference to such statute or statutory provision as amended, modified, re-enacted or replaced from time-to-time.
2. The Contract
The Contract shall be on these Terms to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions, including any such terms and conditions that are purported to be included or applied by the Buyer. No terms and conditions contained in the confirmation of order, purchase order or other document of the Buyer will form part of the Contract.
3. Delivery
Any dates specified by the Company for delivery of the Goods are intended to be an estimate only. If no date is specified for delivery of the Goods, delivery shall be within a reasonable time. Subject to the other provisions of these Terms, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, whether direct or consequential, economic or loss of profits or otherwise, arising directly or indirectly out of any delay in the delivery of the Goods nor will any delay entitle the Buyer to terminate or rescind the Contract unless the delay exceeds 60 days.
Standard mainland UK delivery is £4.99 for all orders and we will aim to deliver within 3-7 working days of receipt of payment, subject to stock availability. Deliveries are Monday - Friday (excluding bank or public holidays) and dates are an estimate only.
All delivery charges are subject to change should the parcel exceed weight or size limits and may require an additional postage charge.
We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted, but delivery times are not always guaranteed. Occasionally delivery is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons outside of our control, but we will keep you updated if this is the case and the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period.
We will deliver to the address you specified, so please ensure that this is correct.
For International deliveries or to the Highlands and Ireland then please contact Sussex Country Interiors.
Please note: We cannot be held responsible for failure in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control or cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence).
Item arrive damaged
On the rare occasion that items are received damaged or faulty, please email us within five working days of receipt. We cannot be held responsible for damages reported after this timeframe. Goods that are received damaged will be refunded or replaced. All we ask is that you keep the original packaging and email us a photograph of the damages, so that we can claim from the carrier.
Please ensure you check the items on receipt, once an item has been signed for it is accepted that the order has been received in a good condition.
Items not received
We will need to be informed by email within 2 working days of the estimated delivery time if your purchased items have not been received.
4. Returns Policy
If your items received from Sussex Country Interiors were not suitable or you are not happy with your purchase, then please return the items for a refund or exchange. The items returned will only be accepted for refund or an exchange if the items are returned in a perfect unused condition, in the original packaging. Please return within 10 working days for an exchange or full refund of the purchase price, excluding postage cost. Parcels are returned at your own cost and we strongly recommend that you obtain a proof of posting. Items lost in transit will not be treated as returned.
When returning your items please ensure the parcel is packaged carefully and items are well protected, ensuring that the goods will not be damaged in transit, otherwise we may not be able to refund or exchange your items. Please make a note of the reason for returning the parcel and if you require a refund or exchange as well please supply contact details in case we have a query. Sussex Country Interiors cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit.

Return for exchange
If the product you require is still available we will exchange it for you. If the new item you require costs less than the one you have returned we will refund you the difference. If it costs more than the one you have returned we will need to take an additional payment from you before we can send you the item. All delivery charges will be applied as normal.
Return for refund
Refunds will be processed within 7 working days of receiving the returned goods. Please remember that it can take five to ten days after we have processed a refund payment for it to appear on your credit card or bank statement.
5. Risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer on delivery. Ownership in the Goods shall not pass to the Buyer until the Company has received in full cleared funds for all sums due to the Company in respect of the Goods and all other sums which are or may become due to the Company from the Buyer on any account.
6. Price
All prices are shown in UK pounds sterling, and are inclusive of UK VAT, if applicable, but exclusive of all costs of carriage which the Buyer shall pay in addition. The price for the Goods shall, unless otherwise agreed, be the price set out on the Company's website. All prices may be changed. If the price or description is obviously in error, we reserve the right to limit Sussex Country Interiors’ liability to the return of the money the Buyer has paid out without any prior notice.
7. Payment
We accept payment by Credit and Debit cards and PayPal. We will charge your account for payment upon receipt of your order. Payment shall not be deemed to have taken place until the receipt by the Company of cleared funds. If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account then we can cancel the Contract. This does not affect any other rights we may have.

8. Product Descriptions
We pride ourselves in our attention to detail and we take care to ensure that product descriptions, measurements and prices on our website are accurate. Please note that all specifications are estimates and the intention of them is to give a general overview and may differ slightly. It is often difficult to capture the texture or true colour of products and whilst we have taken every care to do this as accurately as possible there could be slight variations.

9. Product Availability
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the Goods are not available, it will state they are sold out on the website and you will not be able to checkout
10. Use of website
The copyright and property rights in all contents on the website are owned by or licensed to Sussex Country Interiors. You are permitted to use our website for your own purposes and must not copy or use any content without our consent. Any and all content on this website must not be republished online or offline without our permission.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions and it is your responsibility to check these as often as possible.
12. Warranties
The Company warrants that the Goods are of satisfactory quality. If the Buyer wishes to make a claim under this warranty, the Buyer shall give written notice to the Company within 30 days of the discovery of the defect and give the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect the Goods in question. The Company shall not be liable for any breach of warranty if the Buyer makes any further use of the Goods after giving such notice or alters or repairs the Goods without the agreement of the Company. The Company’s liability under the warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing the Goods in question or refunding the price of such Goods.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Company’s liability in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the subject matter of the Contract shall not exceed the original price of the goods and the Company shall under no circumstances be liable to the Buyer for any consequential, indirect or economic loss or damages.
We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer, under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
14. Force Majeure
If either party is subject to an event of Force Majeure, that is to say circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to war, fire, industrial disputes or civil commotion, it shall notify the other and the first party’s obligations under these Terms shall be suspended until it notifies the other party of the end of such event of Force Majeure.
15. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be void or unenforceable by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be severed from these Terms which will otherwise remain in full force and effect. These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
16. Customer Data
When you place an order with us, we will add your address to our mailing list and your email address to the subscription for our newsletter, updates and email promotions. If you would prefer not to receive any further information from the Company please email us.
